This video will show you how to install a commercial vent hood properly. Installing a vent hood is an excellent way to eliminate the fumes that are part and parcel of every commercial kitchen.
How does commercial vent hood installation work? The first step in installing a commercial vent hood is to drill holes through the roof, vent, and wood block. These holes allow you to drop a cable from the top through the vent and onto the wood block.
The wood block is meant to secure the cable onto the vent to ensure stability during cranking. Using the attached cable, you can go to the rooftop and crank the vent hood.
Go back inside and ensure the hood is correctly positioned before beginning the mounting process. Drill holes through the hood onto the vertical and horizontal supports you will use to mount it up.
Install the bolts into the holes using caulk for better durability and stability. Ensure you have the proper safety gear to cut any bolts preventing the grease trap and filters installation. Drill a piece of aluminum onto the roof to seal the hole used for cranking.
