There are three different types of HVAC inspections which are stack inspection, concealed duct inspection, and the final inspection.
Stack inspections examine all HVAC work above the basement level. This inspection needs to be completed before drywall installation but after all of the heating supply and return, air duct systems have been installed.
The stack inspection also does external inspection. External inspections include checking that roof flashings meet code requirements, air intake and exhaust hoods are properly installed, and flue gas venting locations are correct.
