When emergencies occur it is important to make sure that you have the right processes in place. In addition to all of the required safety features that the law requires, in fact, it is important to make sure that as many as staff members as possible are trained in the use of these devices. From evacuation chairs to handicap stair chairs, there are several plans that must be in place in public spaces. In hospitals, nursing homes and other care centers, and schools it is important that nurses, care givers, and teachers are trained in the use of equipment that can help people with mobility issues escape when elevators are not available.

The safety of patients in all of these situations was dependent on the availability of the right number and the right kind of safety evacuation chairs. When you realize that as many as 15% of the world’s population is currently living with a disability you begin to understand the importance of making the plans needed to help all patients escape in a safe and timely manner.
